Respondus LockDown Browser™ is a custom browser that locks down the testing environment within Blackboard. When students use Respondus LockDown Browser they are unable to print, copy, go to another URL, or access other applications. When a test or quiz is started, students are locked into it until they submit it for grading. (Supports Windows and Mac OS X 10.3.9+ and will only be used with Blackboard8 at ASU.)
Before taking a test using the lockdown browser, students must download the lockdown browser onto the computer that they will take the test. Please, use the link provided below for downloading.
The lockdown browser is already installed on all campus computers that are used by students. There is a lockdown browser icon on the main desktop view when you first logon to the computer. If for some reason the lockdown browser is not on a campus computer used by students, please contact your lab administrator or call the ITS helpline at 870-972-3933.
